LOT.530 ZIP-UP CARDIGAN
This piece is designed based on a zip-up cardigan commonly seen in the 1930s, preserved in Takahashi’s archive. The distinctive pocket construction and the martingale-style back belt are faithfully reproduced, capturing the character of the original.
The yarn is composed of two strands of mélange cotton and one of linen, twisted together into a three-ply thread that produces rich visual depth and shadow.
While the original had a tightly fitted silhouette, the pattern has been adjusted with added room to allow for wearing on its own, making it suitable for modern comfort.
