Description

LOT.204 ENGINEER TROUSERS

Designed with reference to 18th-century work pants excavated in California, these trousers feature a deep rise and a wide silhouette that extends generously from the thigh to the hem.

The fabric is a high-density back satin woven from a blend of cotton and hemp. Hemp yarn is used for the weft to add the natural coolness characteristic, while open-end spun cotton yarn is used for the warp, creating a supple and richly textured finish.

The buttons and backside parts marked with original engravings are all made of iron. For BEIGE, the surface is intentionally left uncoated, allowing rust to form over time and enhancing its aged character. BROWN and CHARCOAL are finished with a smoked-style coating to evoke a sense of time-worn depth from the outset.
